2012 DFTP Tournament raises $19,000
The 2012 Drive for the Podium Golf Tournament was a great
success. In addition to raising $19,000 we also raised awareness
for Olympic athletes and their need for additional funding.
Thanks to our sponsors for their ongoing support but most
of all thanks to all who attended and showed their generosity
at the auction tables.
Be sure to set aside Monday, June 17th for the 2013 edition

2011 Drive for the Podium a Huge Success!
Thanks to everyone who took part in the 2011 Mark Lowry Drive
for the Podium Golf Tournament held on June 20th at Stonebridge
Golf and Country Club.
The weather was gorgeous and the 150+ attending had a great
day. Your generosity was exceptional and we raised $21,000
this year, not easy in these challenging financial times.
The proceeds of this tournament are used to assist current
and aspiring Olympic athletes and coaches. Over the past six
years that the tournament has been held over $150,000 has
been raised.
We were honoured to have former Olympians Alex Baumann (swimming),
Sue Holloway (cross country skiing, canoe/kayak), Alison Korn
(rowing), Ole Sorensen (wrestling) and Scott Cranham (diving)
take part in the day.
Emcee Scott Russell of CBC Sports did his usual wonderful
job at keeping the evening program rolling and the Lowry family
truly appreciates his continued support of the tournament.
Auctioneer Kent Browne also provided his services and helped
raise a significant amount through the live auction.
Thanks go to our many sponsors (see below) and auction prize
donors for their generosity as well. Without them this event
would not be near the success that it is.
Watch this web site for news of where the next contribution
will be made from the Mark Lowry Sport Excellence Fund.
